The Arctic blast that has affected most of the country has forced more than two dozen green sea turtles to take shelter after being rescued January 6 from the Mosquito Lagoon by wildlife rangers. This influx of turtles gives the park’s Sea Turtle Rescue Program more than 1,000 turtles rescued since its inception in 1980.
