I did not see any lifers whatsoever in 2016, making it my first lifer-free year since around 2010. I was quite shocked to learn that my last Northern Gannets were seen in Norway waaaaay back in 1992, some 15 years ago! Top Bird of the Year: Sociable Lapwing , Bawinkel, Germany.
