The Nisqually estuary was restored in 2009 by removing dikes and reconnecting 762 acres with the tides of Puget Sound. A beautiful series of raised boardwalks have been constructed, allowing year round access to the area, thru the marsh area, all the way out nearly a half mile into the tidal flats.

This day of fun with Hollywood flair will raise funds for seven Los Angeles animal rescues, all non-profit 501c3 organizations, who together help save thousands of animal lives. They decided to study foxes, which are closely related to wolves and dogs. The Russians began by breeding a group of foxes according to one simple rule: they would walk up to a cage and put a hand on the bars. Foxes that slunk back in fear and snapped their teeth didn’t get to breed. The ordinary ones failed miserably.
