From the feral cats of Project Treadstone to Charles' back surgery to problems with Violet's Vetsulin (insulin for dogs), we had more than our share of issues. Every March, hope springs anew that I’ll cross paths with one of these feral fluffballs, but as April ends, so do another year’s delirious dreams. We got lucky in Victoria in 2009 and it even had two rather large fledglings. I’ve been chasing Northern Saw-whet Owls , those adorable little predators, for years now.
