This is a poor photo I took of this pair’s nest back in 2009. We have been assured by the California Department of Fish & Wildlife (CDFW) that they are watching this nest also. You can see that the nest came up above the top of the post and was wedged down in the framework between the lights.

I greatly enjoyed reading these articles on diverse topics such as suet, nyjer seed, the development of humming-bird feeders, rarities at feeders, wild bird feeding in Latin America and the Caribbean, and, importantly, “funding for birds and wildlife.” It’s about packaging, marketing, distribution, transportation, and lobbying.
