Montana Passes Horse Slaughterhouse Protection Measure

Montana has passed a law making it difficult to challenge the building of a horse slaughtering facility in that state. The last such facility in the US closed in 2007. Tags: horse slaughter. This bill specifically makes for groups that might oppose it to use the court system to do so.

To the Editor: Re “ Drummer Denies He Intentionally Spooked Horse That Died ” (news article, Sept. The recent report by the New York City comptroller points out the absolute failure of city agencies to protect these indentured slaves. It’s time to put aside foolish romantic notions and reject the demands of a self-serving industry.
