In 2007 – at age 50 – I realized that the answer was right in front of me. I am a professional animal handler and trainer, specializing in llamas and alpacas. Rigorous dieting is the animal handling equivalent of a corrective jerk on the dog collar. I weighed 165 pounds on December 29th 2007.
