According to a Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences study, human-induced climate change has doubled the area affected by forest fires in the western U.S. This past March I helped a Girl Scout troupe build and install 15 Bluebird nest boxes on the Sacramento River Trail. This is about 35 miles West of my home.
