Early starts are the rule when monitoring endagered species in Mkuze Game Reserve, in South Africa, but there’s a particular urgency to this morning’s start. It was, based on a quick glance, a puppy, around 6 to 7 months old. It was not a pretty sight. Falakhe injured.
