The worlds’ first transgenic dog, Ruppy (short for Ruby Puppy), produces a fluorescent protein that glows red under ultraviolet light. They do their work at the Seoul National University in South Korea. Dogs often are used in research for narcolepsy, certain cancers and blindness. Tags: news.
