Less than one year ago, Puerto Rico enacted a landmark animal protection law, based in part on a set of model laws drafted by the Animal Legal Defense Fund. states and jurisdictions with regards to the strength of their laws protecting animals.

Although this park was logged in the past, as a national park it is one of the few forests in Ghana that is really protected. . They are large passerines and research has shown them to be an ancient basal offshoot from the passerine tree (at approximately the same time as rockjumpers, were even placed in the same family until quite recently).
