This is what we need for birds, whose rights as government-protected species are violated every day by free-roaming cats. She is not capable – physically or psychologically – of trapping and getting rid of one cat, let alone nine. SWAT teams would have to be organized privately, town by town, county by county. What can she do?

Indeed, during my short time spent at the park, I have encountered all there is to get below Air Panas, with the exception of maybe two to three species (the laughingthrush and the hanging-parrot and maybe something else I have forgotten). No need to despair if a weekend visit is all you can organize.

The ability to feel pain is not an obviously plausible way of morally distinguishing microorganisms from other organisms. The question can be raised: Why should these organisms be killed and others not be killed? The very name “vegetarian” suggests that these individuals eat plants, which are living organisms. Why wouldn’t they?
