Within Nariva Swamp is Bush Bush Wildlife Sanctuary, a sandy, low-lying peninsula populated by palms, strangler figs, and other hardy forest trees. We managed to see both species of monkey, though – so we were ultimately well satiated. Occasional fly-bys of pairs and trios of Red-bellied Macaws kept us on our toes.
