Fortunately, there are some people working to protect the Scarlet Macaws of Honduras. Hat-tip to Stella. Their plumage is simply amazing and the colors are astounding.

Very little information was available at the time, so we hired a car and off we went, following the few tips we had managed to gather but mostly our noses. Although this park was logged in the past, as a national park it is one of the few forests in Ghana that is really protected. . And wow, what a trip we had!
