I've written about my ambivalence regarding "pet" ownership/guardianship/insert-whatever-term-you're-comfortable-with, and also about my strong belief in helping individuals, but I don't recall addressing whether the having of pets is not vegan. Do you agree with that?

Like every dog they are vulnerable to homelessness and mistreatment. Michael Vick, whose unearthed gambling operation was found to not only force dogs to fight, but also kill under-performing dogs in twisted ways, is only one story in a mass of untold stories. As a breed, pit bulls have a bad rap. Have the dog scanned for a microchip.
