What would the cost of a hamburger at Burger King or McDonald’s be if the meat were to come from Ms. There is little that is less polluting and less harmful to the planet than hunting wild game responsibly. Can anyone in good conscience be complicit with the unnecessary suffering and slaughter of another sentient being?

It only takes a little imagination to suppose that every bite of hamburger we eat is taking grain away from a hungry child in India. The eating of non-grain-eating animals, e.g., fish and wild game, is morally permissible on this view. Nobody wants existing animals to be slaughtered.
