This image is from Bwindi Impenetrable Gorilla National Park, Uganda. The Yellow-spotted Barbet Buccanodon duchaillui is a rainforest species, named for Frenchman Paul Du Chaillu who was the first explorer to venture inland from Gabon into Africa’s vast lowland forest bloc. Note the strange nasal tufts at the base of the bill.
