He never chased the rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, or deer who regularly visited. I wondered what in the world he’d brought back and discovered the wet ball of fur was a very young bunny. He often tried to approach them as if they were friends. The 10-year-old dog and 4-month-old joey eventually became best friends.
