Animals raised for food suffer miserably. Animal agriculture is inherently inhumane. After time in the Marines, I veered strongly away from eating creatures, thinking of their suffering. That’s right, for me—but it may not be for others. To the Editor: The term “free range” sounds prettier than it usually is.
