The travel agent mentioned I had a 2 hour layover in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. I was flying Emirates and that was the hub. The location was a good spot to see Arabian Oryx, a species I hoped to see but didn’t. From Quarm we turned east to the mountains that stood between us and the Gulf of Oman.
