A single morning birding the thorny desert of Baringo in Kenya’s Rift Valley yielded several species at a rate I at times struggled to keep up with. The first stop was along a narrow dirt track adjacent to some farming land. A Dark Chanting Goshawk perched some distance away.

They are farmed worldwide, with significant industries in the Philippines and in Namibia. they also have fangs that inject a tiny bit of venom and cause a lot of pain. It's not easy to catch them.
