I could be reading into this, but it does appear that there's some discomfort on the part of non-vegans when they look through the calendar and I tell them the story. And when you're checking out at the health food store with your cans and bag of vegan dog food, how could that not be a seedy opportunity? Segue into horse racing.

There's no remotely vegan or even vegetarian (though I'm not even sure what the latter would look like) message. They grill the chickens, and trust me when I say it's all presented as a peak spiritual experience. Our own legislators have put us in this position because they and their friends benefit from it.
