Vegan Goes Mainstream!

Animal Ethics

Oprah Winfrey goes vegan for 21 days. On Day 1 of her 21-day experiment with veganism, Oprah aptly asked: "How can you say you're trying to spiritually evolve, without even a thought about what happens to the animals whose lives are sacrificed in the name of gluttony?" Why not join Oprah in her experiment? What's left?'

To My Friends at Thanksgiving

Animal Person

The two objections to a vegan Thanksgiving that I hear most often are: It's our tradition and Because it tastes good. On "EATING ANIMALS" by Jonathan Safran Foer

And if you know someone who still eats fish or anyone else from the sea, this is a fantastic book, as I don't recall anyone giving sea creatures the respect they deserve in a long time (and telling their audience the truth about their lives and deaths). N]o fish gets a good death. Not great, but good. He never says he is.

Moral Vegetarianism, Part 3 of 13

Animal Ethics

Most moral vegetarians list fish and fowl as animals one should not eat. Vegan vegetarians who eat only vegetables, fruit, and nuts do not completely remove all microorganisms from their food, even with repeated cleaning. Clearly, cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, and fish do not consent to being eaten. What Meat Should Not Be Eaten?
