Penguins here! <pause> There are few bird names that will elicit great big smiles and Penguin is one of them. I’ve been fortunate to see two Penguin species in the wild (African and Galapagos) and have dreamed of seeing more–maybe even all! <pause> Do I have your attention now?

The experience, the place, and the bird combine to make this my BBOTY. I was a bit sad, too, that we had annoyed the owl enough that it felt it had to strafe us … my normal MO is to avoid stressing out wildlife. Donna’s BBOTY – an African Penguin. Carlos’s BBOTY – the Nicobar Pigeon.
