Military researchers have dressed live pigs in body armor and strapped them into Humvee simulators that were then blown up with explosives to study the link between roadside bomb blasts and brain injury. The explosions have ranged in intensity, wounding some of the pigs and killing others. Roadside bombs are the top killer of U.S.

Earlier this year, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals announced that it will offer a $1 million X Prize for the creation of affordable, humane, and "commercially viable" test-tube meat by 2012. These harvested cells are taken from an animal, such as a pig, and placed in a "nutrient-rich medium" that mimics blood.

It seems that these people, who purport to claim to care so much about animals, are completely ignorant of the existence of any animal life beyond horses, cows, pigs, chickens and turkeys.
