An animal rights group has called for a federal investigation into the death of an elephant at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Umoya, a 21-year-old African elephant, died Thursday, possibly due to injuries suffered during an attack by another elephant. PETA and In Defense of Animals oppose keeping elephants in zoos.

I know on some level, I think that’s something almost all of us can get behind…no one, except the most callous and cold-hearted of the human race things its fine to torture animals, or deny that they are capable of pain and suffering. there is actually a group dedicated to saving lobsters!)
