On a recent visit I threw my bags in the hotel room and went straight there, and got over 60 species of birds in a few hours and fantastic views of Nilgai , the largest antelope in India.

My fiance and I drove nearly two hours to the Jasper-Pulaski Fish and Wildlife Area in rural Indiana to watch them come in for the evening. As the sky darkened and a chill set in, large groups of birds took off in the opposite direction for the interior of the preserve, where they would safely roost for the night.
