The best locations for finding this beautiful bird is over Kakum National Park in Ghana (non-breeding) and Loango National Park in Gabon for breeding birds.

Yala National Park is brimming with wildlife and there are good chances of seeing Leopard , Sloth Bear and Asian Elephant , while it is also excellent for dry-zone birds, while the nearby Bundala coastal marshes and Palatupana ponds are good spots for shorebirds.
