If you’ve ever seen a Mink at a distance (a live mink, not a coat) you know that they are cute frolicking fun loving land otters. Nearly 90% of the nests failed during egg stage, mainly due to strong winds and depredation by American mink Neovison vison. At both breeding seasons five lakes contained near 85% of the population.
