They look crap but presumably offer some protection for the chicks, though not from each other (see the murderous activities within the nests in my previous post ). A Crested Serpent Eagle , looking a bit ridiculous after a rain. He was also nearly strangled by a pet python that he kept. At between 4 pm and 6 pm, to be exact.
