Animal rights is concerned with individual animals, and their suffering and welfare. And culls of Nyala have been proposed. I’m not unsympathetic to concerns about animal welfare, really. Conservation is concerned about protecting populations, species, habitats, ecosystems. And, honestly, that’s fine.
