The killing of Cecil was equated with murder, a moral crime rather than a symptom of a ecological problem. Take an example, Tembe Elephant Park in South Africa. And culls of Nyala have been proposed. We can’t afford just to let nature be nature any more. Not if we want to hang on to what we have left.
