We don't really get an answer for that one, but we do get to the real question, which Scott alludes to in graph #3: "So how do we bridge the gap between maximizing profit at the expense of an animal’s expression of its natural tendencies and treating livestock as we would the family cat?"

That’s what you do with other game, right? You can designate it thus; you can legally call it a Rhode Island Red chicken if you want, but no whooping crane on this planet is nonessential. Soo…if all the cranes look white in a light regime like this, how does an excited gunman tell which one is the endangered one?
