He is the hardest worker you’ll ever meet, he’s quiet and humble, he’s reserved and cautious, and he is, or was a die-hard cat person. The dogs, they were for working, herding cows, etc. Yes, he now goes to bed nightly, curled up with a little puppy called Nova. He plays any game she likes. He’s doting. He’s sweet. He’s in love.

This includes horses, cats and cows. However, I have to disagree with page 78's: "Will a cat comfort you when you are sad? My experience says otherwise (particularly with my childhood kitty, Brady), but generally speaking Masson's depiction of cats is accurate. And he details why. He might, but I would not count on it."
