With the geese rediscovered, an intensive campaign to remove introduced foxes began, and many geese were relocated from Buldir Island to islands they formerly inhabited. North American Peregrine Falcons have also enjoyed an impressive population rebound in recent years. Brown Pelicans are not an unusual sight on the California coast.
