The topic was the concept of humans as predators, or hunters, or really, eaters of meat, and I was discussing the many ways in which people misconceived this notion. He correctly criticized my advisor at the time, Glynn Isaac, for having done that. Any buffalo bones from prior to that transition were obviously scavenged.

He is currently a Fish and Wildlife Technician with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and a Graduate Research Assistant at the Research Foundation for SUNY. Photographs are powerful instruments in sharing the value of species’ existence and increasing the amount of humans who value species such as Snowy Owls.
