So, all this makes birding this place an occasionally less than pleasant experience. A paper on breeding of the species was actually researched right here at Wawushan. The Great Parrotbill recently unsuccessfully petitioned to be renamed to Giant Parrotbill, citing the panda example as proof of the benefits of having this name.
