The travel agent mentioned I had a 2 hour layover in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. I was flying Emirates and that was the hub. On the ground we saw large numbers of Red-wattled Lapwings and White-tailed Lapwings , the latter of which breed at the site. It was actually a moment’s impulse.
