And they certainly wouldn't hurt anybody; that's what those big factory farms do that aren't owned by families. Their goal is to make a profit from the breeding and slaughter of animals. Just ask former cattle rancher Howard Lyman , who is now a vegan and animal rights activist. The cows' tails swing in the breeze.

If, on the other hand, the legs are produced in factory conditions, there is a moral objection. Suppose someone enjoys drinking the blood of cattle and hogs. Would the blood drinker be sinning against the principles of lactovo moral vegetarianism or just the principles of vegan moral vegetarianism? KBJ: Ditto.
