Turns out the founder of TRC and many the vets who worked in clinic were falconers as well. Many get their birds from breeders. When you see a falconer transporting their bird or walking with a group, the bird might be in a dark crate or hooded. I learned that I knew nothing of falconry. Falconers keep their birds in the dark.
