The Pantanal is a vast, seasonally flooded wetland — the largest in the world — in the southwest corner of the state of Mato Grosso in Brazil. Scarlet-headed Blackbird glows in the morning light. Screamers are most closely related to waterfowl such as ducks and geese. Alas, it was over too soon.
