If a baby bird at this stage is taken to a rehabber, it’s waste of the rehabber’s time and the chicks will miss valuable training from their parents. Birds of prey look cool, but they can’t count. They give them warning calls, teaching them what is dangerous and when to hide. Owls are a little different.
