It ended with little fan fare; in fact I did not even go chasing birds on the last two days of 2018, as I am just plain tired. Not of the birds, but the seemingly endless early mornings, rarely sleeping in my own bed, and the pressure, mostly self imposed, to find yet one more bird. Bahamas Totals: 58. Qatar Totals: 9.

With Corey’s February jollies to The Bahamas (when he should have been at home looking for GGOs), Lichtenstein, Austria and Switzerland our country/province/principality/kingdom/territory list has swollen to 37. 79 checklists were contributed for 624 birds during March and bring the running total for 2017 to 1162. From 20 February through 25 February I was on a family-and-friends vacation on New Providence in the Bahamas. More specifically, I was on Paradise Island, the small, resort-laden and heavily developed island on the north end of New Providence, adjacent to Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas.
