Germain has lived in East Asia since 2014. We jumped into our rented SUV Jeep Compass for a trip of 6 days. Birds of different species gather in bird waves to improve foraging efficiency (the insect escaping one bird will most likely be caught by another bird of the wave) and increase protection against predators.
