Cattle might be overproduced because of government subsidies and new markets found for meat. If I visit Arlington Cemetery, do I give my tacit consent to the various wars that produced the graves? Second, even if it did have an economic impact, it is unclear whether this would cause a reduction in animal suffering. Certainly not.
