Vladimir Putin, former President and current Prime Minister of Russia, just got a tiger cub for his birthday. But children and animals seem to bring out a softer side. He told journalists that Koni has not met the tiger cub. Once the tiger was asleep, Putin placed a collar with a GPS tracking system around her neck.

It turns out that people are not the only ones, who can adopt children – animals are good at this as well. One of the recent developments, which caught an eye of many pet-lovers, is an adoption of three newly born tigers by German shepherd in Chinese Reserve on January 2012.
