Humane way to safely get deer to move away from road?

I was driving tonight and there were a couple deer on the edge of the road so I beeped my horn and they didn't seem phased. I was wondering if perhaps as silly as it sounds, installing a loud horn car horn that allows you to select the sound(like a Tesla) and playing a lion roar or similar has any chance of being better?
