Animals suffer when killed. It is only the prejudice of our species that justifies culling the deer population while protecting our own. He says meat tastes more precious when you’ve watched it die. Rest assured that if you are purchasing meat from your favorite fast food restaurant, your favorite sit-down chain restaurant, or your local grocery store, you are purchasing the flesh of a tortured animal. Of course, when hamburgers aren't at stake, most of us think that it would be morally wrong to kill an animal for no good reason.
