Juluri's focus on animals used to entertain humans is intentional and speaks to the legal battle he refers to. Free Speech may be a noble ideal, but perhaps we are better served by thinking of it not only as a right but also as a privilege. They certainly depict cruelty to animals, right? What do you think?

My original blogroll included people/organizations that informed my journey and it brought me much criticism and labeled me a "new welfarist" and brought me all kinds of grief. Films, blogs, books, e-zines, sanctuaries, protests, promotion of adoption (of humans and nonhumans!).

Human slavery, of course. I think the show was well done and informative and here's what struck me most. Injustice wears many masks, but behind them all is the same face: the belief that you have the right to use and profit from someone else's life. But the cow part? Sex slavery.

has put a hold on Cass Sunstein's confirmation as the Administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs. According to Michael Markarian from the Humane Society, Sunstein's confirmation is supposedly being held due to pressure from some agribusiness groups. Senator Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.)
