The Brits are known for their animal rights activism, but there's been a rise in wildlife crime against all animals. A bird species is near extinction. Tags: wildlife crime UK animal cruelty. I don't get it. Apparently they are seen as nuisances. Badgers are being caught for dog-baiting.

The commentator says that part of her winnings will go to abolish animal cruelty (yes, abolish). Interviewer: "Wait, so you want to abolish animal cruelty, except for chickens and fish, (pointing at the contestant) because she doesn't like them?". I think you actually support animal cruelty." Well, sort of.

In responding to Suzie’s post defending wildlife rehabilitation I began to think again about the areas in which animal rights and animal welfare overlap with the field of conservation, and the ways in which they don’t. And people that work in either conservation or animal welfare tend to like animals.
